Maharani Jind Kaur

Maharani Jind Kaur popularly know as Jindan was wife Maharaja Ranjit Singh and mother of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last Sikh sovereign of the Punjab. She fought for the Empire and reminded her of his heritage. She encouraged Sikh Empire to fight two wars against the British Empire which led to annexation of Punjab and her being torn away from her son. Duleep was just nine years old. He was then moved to England .
It was then after 13 years that he was allowed to meet his mother as Jindan was thought to be weak and posed no threat to them. Even being weak and losing hear looks and sight didn't stopped her from reminding her son of their lost kingdom.
In the end, Duleep’s attempts to persuade the Tsar of Russia to invade India backfired spectacularly because British spies had followed his every move.
Duleep lived his final years in Paris hotel desperately seeking the forgiveness of Queen Victoria.
