Nella Fantasia

It's Original Italian Version

Nella fantasia io vedo un mondo giusto,
Li tutti vivono in pace e in onestà.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo l'anima.

Pien' d'umanità in fondo l'anima.

Now it's Translation:-

In my fantasy I see a just world,
Where everyone lives in peace and in honesty.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the spirit.

In my fantasy I see a bright world,
Where each night there is less darkness.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly.

In my fantasy exists a warm wind,
That breathes into the city, like a friend.
I dream of spirits that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the spirit.

Walt Whitman :- O Captain My Captain

Here are the Lyrics of this poem written in the death of Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:

But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Nami Daanam Chi Manzil :- Amir Khusrau

Nami Daanam Chi Manzil by Tasawwuf on Vimeo

Sang by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Here are Lyrics :-

Nami daanam chi manzil
bood shab jaay ki man boodam;

Baharsu raqs-e bismil
bood shab jaay ki man boodam.

Pari paikar nigaar-e sarw qadde laala rukhsare;
Sarapa aafat-e dil
bood shab jaay ki man boodam.

Khuda khud meer-e majlis
bood andar laamakan Khusrau;

Muhammad shamm-e mehfil
bood shab jaay ki man boodam.

And now the Translation:-

I wonder what was the place
where I was last night,

All around me were half-slaughtered victims of love,
tossing about in agony.

There was a nymph-like beloved with cypress-like form
and tulip-like face,
Ruthlessly playing havoc with the hearts of the lovers.

God himself was the master of ceremonies in that heavenly court,
oh Khusrau, where (the face of) the Prophet too was shedding light like a candle.

(trans. S.A.H.Abidi)

Einstürzende Neubauten :- The Garden

Here are The Lyrics :-

You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me waiting through spring and summer
You will find me waiting for the fall
You will find me waiting for the apples to ripped
You will find me waiting for them to fall
You will find me by the banks of all four rivers
You will find me at the spring of consciousness
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain
You will find me if you want me in the garden
unless it's pouring down with rain

Khamosh Pani : Silent Waters

Ayesha is a seemingly well-adjusted middle-aged woman whose life centres around her son Saleem -a gentle, dreamy 18-year-old, in love with Zubeida. They live in the village of Charkhi in Punjab , Pakistan. Ayesha's husband is dead and she manages a living from his pension and by giving Qur'an lessons to young girls. The story begins in 1979, in Pakistan President Zia-ul-Haq's martial law. Zia-ul-Haq manipulated the interpretation of Islam and misguided a whole generation of uneducated young people. These radicalized young people were needed at that time to fight the Soviets , who had occupied neighboring Afghanistan.
Saleem becomes intensely involved with a group of Islamic fundamentalists and leaves Zubeida. Ayesha is saddened to see her son change radically.
Events escalate when Sikh pilgrims from India arrive in the village. Later, a pilgrim looks for his sister Veero who was left behind in 1947 during the Partition of India. This awakens heart-rending memories.
And certainly Ayesha was Veero. After knowing that Ayesha is sister of an infidel , nobody cared about her. One lady who would brought water for her also stopped doing that . At last she went to the well and dived in it.

(body is like the first ray of the Sun)

Jism Tarsha Hoa Dil-kash O Dil-nasheen

(body is like carved statue, eye-catching and arresting)

Sandali Sandali, Marmari Marmari

( like sandalwood, like marble.)

Aafreen Aafreen, Aafreen Aafreen

(like sandalwood, like marble.))

(O the most beautiful one!)

——————————

Stanza- 4

Zulf E Janaan Ki Bhi Lambi Hai Daastan

(The story of the tresses of beloved is also long)

Zulf Ki Mere Dil Per Hein Parchiyaan

(tresses are like shadows on my heart)

Zulf Jaisay Ke Umdi Howi Ho Ghata

(tresses are like over-cast clouds)

Zulf Jaisay Ke Ho Koi Kaali Bala

(tresses like some black spectre)

Zulf Uljhay To Dunya Pareshaan Ho

(when tresses are entangled, so also is the world)

Zulf Suljhay To Yeh Zeest Aasan Ho

(when tresses are straight, then writing this song becomes easy)

Zulf Bikhray Siyah Raat Chaanay Lagay

(when tresses spread apart then black night downs)

Zulf Lehraye To Raat Janay Lagay

(when tresses sway then the night sings)

Zulf Zanjeer Hai Phir Bhi Kitni Haseen

(tresses are chains, but so beautiful)

Reshmi Reshmi, Amberi Amberi

Aafreen Aafreen, Aafreen Aafreen

(O the most beautiful one!)

——————-

Husn E Jana Ki Tareef Mumkin Nahi

Albert Einstein on Mahatma Gandhi

Albert Einstein said the following about Mahatma Gandhi.

"Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as [Gandhi] ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth."

Here is the translated version of letter by Einstein to Gandhi:-

Respected Mr. Gandhi !
I use the presence of your friend in our home to send you these lines. You have shown through your works, that it is possible to succeed without violence even with those who have not discarded the method of violence. We may hope that your example will spread beyond the borders of your country, and will help to establish an international authority, respected by all, that will take decisions and replace war conflicts.
With sincere admiration,
Yours A. Einstein.
I hope that I will be able to meet you face to face some day.

He Said the following too :-

Mahatma Gandhi's life achievement stands unique in political history. He has invented a completely new and humane means for the liberation war of an oppressed country, and practised it with greatest energy and devotion. The moral influence he had on the conciously thinking human being of the entire civilized world will probably be much more lasting than it seems in our time with its overestimation of brutal violent forces. Because lasting will only be the work of such statesmen who wake up and strengthen the moral power of their people through their example and educational works.
We may all be happy and grateful that destiny gifted us with such an enlightened contemporary, a role model for the generations to come.

Kadi Te Has Bol Ve - Naseebo Lal

Here are the Lyrics of this Song :-

Haath Chhute - Jagjit Singh

This is the Video:-

Here Are the Lyrics of this Song :-

Haath
chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte - 2
Haath chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte

Jisne perron ke nishan bhi nahi chode piche - 2
Us musafir ka Pata bhi nahi poocha karta -2
Haath chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte

Tune awaaz nahi di kabhi murte varna -2
Hum kayi sadiyyan tujhe ghoor ke dekha karte
Haath chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte

Beh rahi hai teri jalim hi jameen parron ki -2
Thak gaye dorte dareyaon ka picha karte
Haath chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte -2

Haath chhute bhi to, rishtey nahi chhuta karte

Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi - BY LOVE

By love, the bitter becomes sweet;
by love, copper becomes gold;
by love, dregs become clear;
by love, pains become healing;
by love the dead become living;
by love, the king becomes a slave.

az mohabbat talkh-hâ shirin shavad
az mohabbat mes-hâ zarrin shavad
az mohabbat dord-hâ sâfi shavad
az mohabbat dard-hâ shâfi shavad
az mohabbat mordeh zendeh mi konand
az mohabbat shâh bandeh mi konand

THE MASNAVI

Banafsheh Sayyad - AXIS OF LOVE

Maharani Jind Kaur

Maharani Jind Kaur popularly know as Jindan was wife Maharaja Ranjit Singh and mother of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last Sikh sovereign of the Punjab.She fought for the Empire and reminded her of his heritage. She encouraged Sikh Empire to fight two wars against the British Empire which led to annexation of Punjab and her being torn away from her son. Duleep was just nine years old. He was then moved to England .
It was then after 13 years that he was allowed to meet his mother as Jindan was thought to be weak and posed no threat to them. Even being weak and losing hear looks and sight didn't stopped her from reminding her son of their lost kingdom.
In the end, Duleep’s attempts to persuade the Tsar of Russia to invade India backfired spectacularly because British spies had followed his every move.
Duleep lived his final years in Paris hotel desperately seeking the forgiveness of Queen Victoria.

Nadia Anjuman

In 2005, when she was twenty five years old, Nadia Anjuman published her first collection of poetry, Gol-e Dudi (‘Smokey Flower’) to great acclaim. She was hailed for introducing a fresh language and youthful point of view into Dari poetry, particularly in her ghazals. Soon after the book’s publication, however, Anjuman was beaten to death. Many Afghanis believe that Anjuman was killed by her own husband and his family for the transgression of writing. Anjuman was born and lived in Herat, the beloved sixth child of her large family. She graduated from high school, despite a two-year interruption caused by Taliban rule in Afghanistan. During this time, she secretly studied literature and began her poetic career in clandestine meetings at the home of a literature professor. She later studied Dari Literature at Herat University, where she was consistently the top student. Anjuman felt a deep commitment to poetry, despite the risks in writing. “For as long as I can remember,” she wrote, “I have loved poetry, and the chains with which six years of captivity under Taliban rule bound my feet led me to haltingly enter the arena of poetry with the foot of my pen. The encouragement of like-minded friends gave me the confidence to pursue this path, but even now when I take the first step, the tip of my pen trembles, as do I, because I do not feel safe from stumbling on this path, when the way ahead is difficult, and my steps unsteady.”

Light Blue Memories

O exiles of the mountain of oblivion!
O the jewels of your names, slumbering in the mire of silence
O your obliterated memories, your light blue memories
In the silty mind of a wave in the sea of forgetting
Where is the clear, flowing stream of your thoughts?
Which thieving hand plundered the pure golden statue of your dreams?
In this storm which gives birth to oppression
Where has your ship, your serene silver mooncraft gone?
After this bitter cold which gives birth to death –
If the sea should fall calm
If the cloud should release the heart's knotted sorrows
If the maiden of moonlight should bring love, offer a smile
If the mountain should soften its heart, adorn itself with green,
become fruitful –
Will one of your names, above the peaks,
become bright as the sun?
Will the rise of your memories
Your light blue memories
In the eyes of fishes weary of floodwaters and
fearful of the rain of oppression
become a reflection of hope?
O, exiles of the mountain of oblivion!

Aaj Bazaar Main Pa Ba Jolan Chalo

Here I present to you This Lyric by FAIZ AHMED FAIZ

aaj bazaar main pabajolaan chalo
let us walk in bazaar in shackles

Chashm-e-nam, jaan-e-shoreeda kafi nahin
wet eyes and restless soul is not enough

Tohmat-e-ishq-posheeda kafi nahin
being charged for nurturing concealed love is not enough

aaj bazaar main pabajolaan chalo
let us walk in bazaar in shackles

Dast afshan chalo, mast-o-raqsan chalo
let us go with afshan in hand, in trance and dancing

Khak bar sar chalo, khoon badaman chalo
go with dust on head and blood on garb

Rah takta hai sub shehr-e-janaan chalo
Go as the city of my beloved is waiting

Hakim-e-shehr bhi, majma-e-aam bhi
City's ruler and crowd of commoners

Teer-e-ilzam bhi, sang-e-dushnam bhi
arrow of false charge, stone of accusation

Subh-e-nashaad bhi, roz-e-naakaam bhi
morning of sorrow, day of failure

Unka dum-saaz apnay siwa kaun hai
who is their friend except me

Shehr-e-janaan main ab baa-sifa kaun hai
who is untainted in the city of beloved

Dast-e-qatil kay shayan raha kaun hai
who deserve the killer's or executioner's hand

Rakht-e-dil bandh lo, dil figaro chalo
get ready for the journey of heart, go wounded heart

Phir hameen qatl ho aain yaro chalo
let me go to be executed

Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi

Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi Ki Har Khwaish Pe Dam Nikle
Bahut Nikle Mere Arman Lekin Phir Bhi Kam Nikle

Nikalna Khuld Se Adam Ka Sunte Aaye Hain Lekin
Bahut Beaabru Hokar Tere Kuche Se Ham Nikle

Mohabbat Mein Nahi Hai Fark Jene Aur Marne Ka
Mohabbat Mein Nahi Hai Fark Jene Aur Marne Ka
Usi Ko Dekh Kar Jete Hain Jis Kafir Pe Dam Nikle
Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi Ki Har Khwaish Pe Dam Nikle
Bahut Nikle Mere Arman Lekin Phir Bhi Kam Nikle

Khuda Ke Vaste Parda Na Kaabe Se Utha Zalim
Khuda Ke Vaste Parda Na Kaabe Se Utha Zalim
Kahin Aisa Na Ho Yaan Bhi Wohi Kafir Sanam Nikle

Kahan Mainkhane Ka Darwaza Ghalib Aur Kahan Vaiz
Kahan Mainkhane Ka Darwaza Ghalib Aur Kahan Vaiz
Par Itna Jante Hain Kal Vo Jata Tha Ke Ham Nikle
Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi Ki Har Khwaish Pe Dam Nikle
Bahut Nikle Mere Arman Lekin Phir Bhi Kam Nikle
