Mohandas 2009 Movie Review

Movie tells the story of a man in a small town of MP who is devoid of his own identity and job.

Mohandas is based on the story of  the same name by Uday Prakash, who is an eminent poet and story writer . All the aspects of current Democracy , Media and Judicial System are brought to the foreground by the writer. The movie is directed by Mazhar Kamran, who marked his directorial debut with the movie.  It was excellently directed and i am hoping to see more movies from him. The movie didn't became popular because it contains pure reality and that is what everyone is afraid of. Being realistic it doesn't contain a happy ending, which i was hoping for all the time i was watching it. But it portrays the exact face of India and it's people.

Children of Heaven Vs Bumm Bumm Bole

Children of Heaven

Bumm Bumm Bole

Children of Heaven, a movie by Majid Majidi is one of  the excellent movies in the World ....And even if Priyadarshan tried to make something close the real one but it is far too a good movie to copied . So, she is completely outplayed by Majid. Even if many of the scenes in Bumm Bumm Bole were completely same as the original one , but there is a big difference between the Original and the Duplicate ...

But i would like  to appreciate Priyadarshan for a very good attempt and for the first time has put forward a world famous personality's work to the people of India ...

Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke - Sahir Ludhianvi

This is an amazing song from Pyassa movie by Guru Dutt .

I just watched the movie based depicting the life of a poet and capitalist system

Sung by Hemant Kumar

Here's the Lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi:-

Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila

Bichhad Gayaa Har Saathi Dekar Pal Do Pal Ka Saath
Kisko Phursat Hai Jo Thaame Deewane Ka Haath
Humko Apna Saaya Tak Aqsar Bezaar Mila
Humne To Jab...

Isko Hi Jeena Kehte Hain To Yunhi Ji Lenge
Uf Na Karenge Lab See Lenge Aansoo Pee Lenge
Gham Se Ab Ghabraana Kaisa Gham Sau Baar Mila
Humne To Jab...

It's one of the best psychological movies.

The film depicts the lives of working class Indians in a globalized milieu , and how events spiral out of control when the characters try their hand at crime.

Khamosh Pani : Silent Waters

Ayesha is a seemingly well-adjusted middle-aged woman whose life centres around her son Saleem -a gentle, dreamy 18-year-old, in love with Zubeida. They live in the village of Charkhi in Punjab , Pakistan. Ayesha's husband is dead and she manages a living from his pension and by giving Qur'an lessons to young girls. The story begins in 1979, in Pakistan President Zia-ul-Haq's martial law. Zia-ul-Haq manipulated the interpretation of Islam and misguided a whole generation of uneducated young people. These radicalized young people were needed at that time to fight the Soviets , who had occupied neighboring Afghanistan.
Saleem becomes intensely involved with a group of Islamic fundamentalists and leaves Zubeida. Ayesha is saddened to see her son change radically.
Events escalate when Sikh pilgrims from India arrive in the village. Later, a pilgrim looks for his sister Veero who was left behind in 1947 during the Partition of India. This awakens heart-rending memories.
And certainly Ayesha was Veero. After knowing that Ayesha is sister of an infidel , nobody cared about her. One lady who would brought water for her also stopped doing that . At last she went to the well and dived in it.

BEST PUNJABI FILM EVER.

Khuda Ke Liye

Khuda Ke Liye is a Pakistani Movie made by Shoaib Mansoor. Key Roles were played by Shaan, Naseeruddin Shah, Fawad Khan, Iman Ali and Hameed Sheikh.
Three different people from different continents have problems that relate to on going issues and Islam. Two Brother Singers , Mansoor(Shaan) and Sarmad(Fawad) , and became the best singers in Lahore. Sarmad came under the influence of an Islamic Activist and began praticising extremist Islam e.g. Jihaad, which means to kill people other than Muslims as they are not thought to be the men of Allah(God). They interpret Quran and Habith(Islamic Religious Texts) calling fro a ban on Music and Pictures.
However, in England Mariam aka Mary(Iman Ali)is a westernised girl in love with a white person called Dave. Her hypocritical father disapproves, despite the fact that he is living with a British woman to whom he is not married. He tells Mary that they are going to Pakistan for a trip and that once they return she can marry Dave. This, however is a trap. While touring Afghanistan, he has her forcibly married to Sarmad, who is her cousin. Mary is then abandoned in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Mansoor goes to music school in Chicago. There, he meets a girl called Janie and instantly falls in love with her. She quits for him, and they eventually get married. After 9/11,FBI officers capture him when someone overhears a drunk man accusing Mansoor of being a terrorist. Subsequently, he is tortured for a year in custody just because of his Islamic background.
Meanwhile, Mary manages to run away, but is caught by Sarmad in the process. She is kept under strict supervision and due to this incident, Sarmad eventually consummates their marriage by force. She doesn't lose hope, managing to sneak a letter to Dave under the guise of writing to her father. Mansoor and Sarmad's parents finally come to her rescue under the protection of the British Government, but Mary, driven by vengeance, then takes her father and cousin to court in Pakistan. There, a wise Maulana (Naseeruddin Shah) explains to the court how Islam is being butchered in the name of war and hatred, bringing the religion forward in a believable and peaceful manner.
Traumatized by all the suffering he has seen and caused, Sarmad withdraws from the case. He also realizes the damage that he was made to do in the name of religion. Mary is now free, but decides to return to the village where she was kept prisoner, so she can educate the girls there. Meanwhile, Mansoor is still in U.S. custody after a year of torment; the last torture session having inflicted permanent brain damage. After a failed rehab attempt, he is deported and reunited with his family in Pakistan where, thanks to the hope of his family, he begins to slowly recover.
